Hello, and welcome to The Bracelet Effect. [multi-fandom event]
The world as you know it has changed, and in some minds it has changed permanently.
Two weeks have passed since a man named Apollo Justice brought about the apocalypse by breaking a deal with a dying woman.
By accident, he ran into and almost over Maya Fey, a spirit medium hailing from Kurain Village. It was the day after a serious trial, a family homicide case that Apollo had recently finished up with flying colors. The day had been spent at a party thrown by friends, but he left it bitter and upset due to personal problems of his own.
For years, Apollo had been a part of nearly every paradox/alternate reality you could think of, due to a failed magic experiment by his half-sister, Trucy Wright. Upon getting used to somewhere new, he would wake up somewhere different. Until that moment, it hadn’t been such a problem, and had been working out well — all things considered.
Though he was injured in the crash as well, he staggered out of the front seat, clutching a wound that bled profusely into his hands and clothing. Maya Fey laid on the ground, coughing up an immeasurable amount herself. It was undeniable that she was about to die.
Through the blur of tears and blood, she gazed upwards at him as he moved closer. Kneeling down, he picked her up gently, trying to find the words to make things right.
“Please,” she choked. “I can feel your pain, even now…”
His breath hitched.
“Change, before it’s too late. That’s why you can’t… Why you can’t find your light home. Do it, in honor of my memory.”
Eager to repay her somehow, he agreed without hesitation. Before he could apologize, she was lifeless in his arms. There were no charges drawn, because she had been in the middle of the road, even though it was his negligence that caused her death. After a lot of paperwork, it was as if life hadn’t changed. But it had.
What Apollo didn’t realize in the wake of her death was that his bracelet had been damaged, chipped by parts of his car. She had touched it before she died, and her unintelligible gasps were part of a ceremonial pact, spoken in a language he couldn’t begin to understand. They were bonded, and if he did not keep to their deal, he would suffer the retribution of a woman he’d killed.
In the end, he did attempt change. But suffering from a strong case of PTSD, he soon fell back into his old habits of drinking, from a childhood missed by the mother who had been forced to give him away after a traumatic accident caused her to lose her memories. Refusing to deal with his demons like Maya Fey asked, Apollo brought along what is now known as…
The Bracelet Effect.
In the wake of his mistakes, he brought his own hell upon every human being on Earth, and now seeks to stop it before Maya’s anger envelops life as you know it in a shroud of darkness. The battle between justice and retribution will begin on 5/26/2012.

Hi, I’m James, and I cordially invite you to my first planned multi-fandom group roleplay event, called ‘The Bracelet Effect’. In the next week, there will be a page up for it.
This plot revolves around the murder of a Spirit Medium, one Maya Fey, an accident that’s damned the world to a new existence — unless a few brave individuals step up and stop it.
This is open to everyone, but I need to know if you’re interested so I can work you into the plot/planning.
This is how it works:
My Apollo made a grave mistake many months ago, when he got into his car accident with his original car (Vendetta). During a serious upset in his life, he had returned to drinking, and accidentially hit her on his way home from a party celebrating a victory in court.
As he got out of the car, bleeding profusely, his vision blurred, the girl died in his arms with one request —
‘Change yourself, Apollo Justice. Be a better man. Do this, in honor of my memory.’
And with her blood on his hands, he made that promise, but has broken it many times. If any of you know my Apollo very well, you also know that he has shifted ‘universes’ many times. He has encountered many things, be it zombies, vampires and the like.
The problem is, he’s gone to Las Vegas to get away from his worsening life problems, which were all forced upon him by Maya’s vengeful spirit. She is unhappy, loathesome of the man because he has dishonored her death.
When he finally begins to speak about everything that’s happened to him, through her will and spiritual power, a huge storm envelops the world. The electricity begins to shut off in every country, without an explanation. He doesn’t get a second chance — he has to earn the freedom and liberty of every person in the world, with help from others.
From the many universes he’s been in, things begin to appear as well, be it zombies, ghosts, whatever you’d like to have included just tell me. Maya begins to possess humans in the idea to ‘take over the world’ — think Kira from Death Note, to pursue her own justice.
It’s up to Apollo to face his demons to save the world, but not alone. It’s gone too far for him to fix his screw-ups by himself.
There will be two teams, which I will name later, but for now, you have two choices:
If you would like to help Maya, please specify in a reply/message. If you would like to help Apollo, please specify. Or, if you want to be a variable who comes in and fucks up the game for everybody, mention that too.

He moaned, really moved.
-Do you know what is falling in love, that the one you love builds you hopes up and then notice that person is gone with someone else because you’re just shit to them? -he said, with a tearful tone of voice. His eyes were shinning indeed.- It’s the worst thing you can feel…and so I felt… I’m not healed yet…my heart is broken to pieces…
He put his head over the younger shoulder and sobbed there.
-It feels horrible…-he cried, grabbing his arm firmly but softly.
I know that feeling. It’s alright, sir.
[ He was awkward at this outburst, but made no outward reflections of it. He touched his hair, quiet, attempting to be comforting. ]
It’s happened to me more often than I can recollect to you. But it does get better, I promise. Sometimes, you just have to wait, as much as it hurts.

At the risk of sounding pretentious, I am a prodigy, after all. The youngest of my lord Ansem’s six apprentices.

I’ll tell her to give you a follow. Lord Ansem? I think I’ve heard that name before. You don’t sound pretentious at all, if you’re actually as smart as you claim — which I don’t doubt!

I am the Reincarnation of the Volcano. I was created when my first body died in a blaze that swallowed the Bronze Tower along with two other pokemon. The pokemon Ho-Oh felt pity for us when our humans left us in the burning tower, so he gave upon us new life. We three became Entei, Raikou, and Suicune, The Sacred Beasts, servants to the Legendary Bird Ho-Oh.

Her name is Ema Skye, and I’ll tell her all about you. She wanted to go into Forensics, but is a detective now.
You seem pretty smart, Ienzo! I never passed those classes in high school, disregarding physics, obviously.

He threw his gaze to the floor, feeling sadness again. -If it wasn’t because of those people…I would be dead now…

We’ve only just met, but I don’t have a problem with you. What’s been going on? Don’t ever — don’t ever say you want to die, or kill yourself. Things might be horrible, they might be utter shit for lack of a better word, but there’s always hope. I’m here to listen, if you need me to. It looks like you need some medicine… I don’t mind helping, if you need it.
